EPS / UPS Back Up

Emergency Power Supply (EPS) refers to a solar power system with battery storage that continues to function during extended power outages or emergencies.

EPS is used to maintain the operation of critical systems, such as fire alarms, smoke extractors, and elevators, during outages. These systems will activate during a power failure and can run on batteries and generators. They are best for short or occasional power outages.

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems are used when power interruptions are unacceptable, as they provide instant additional power to sensitive electronic equipment during a power outage. UPS will use rechargeable batteries to store power, which will kick in within 0-12 milliseconds and shift to battery power, protecting devices from power spikes whilst keeping them running.
